About the competition

The Eco Hero Awards is an international competition recognizing young people (ages 8-16) who are actively working on environmental projects to protect and transform the Earth. It aims to encourage and support youth environmental activism by honoring their efforts and sharing their work.

Participation Information

Students can apply by submitting an application that details their environmental project, explaining its impact and their role in the effort. Applications are reviewed by a panel of experts in environmental science, biology, and education.

$500 for 1st place, $250 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd; certificates and recognition for environmental projects
