This is a program designed to recognize outstanding performance in dance, music, theater, visual arts, photography, and writing. Each January, up to 150 outstanding performers are invited, on the basis of an audition or portfolio review, to meet in Miami for a program known as young ARTS Week. They participate in adjudications, auditions, classes, studio exercises, workshops, interviews, performances, and enrichment activities. A panel of judges in each discipline uses a two-step process to evaluate applicants. First, the panel reviews the materials submitted by the applicants and then selects candidates in each discipline for live adjudications.
