Broadcom MASTERS (Math, Applied Science, Technology, and Engineering for Rising Stars) is a premier middle school STEM competition designed to encourage students to pursue their interests in science and engineering. Students compete in local and regional science fairs, and the top 10% are nominated to apply to Broadcom MASTERS. Winners are invited to Washington, D.C., for Finals Week, where they showcase their projects and participate in team challenges.

Participation Information
Students must first compete at a Society-affiliated science fair. The top 10% of 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade competitors at these fairs are eligible for nomination. Nominated students then complete an application to participate in Broadcom MASTERS.
Judging is based on scientific research quality, creativity, and the student’s ability to communicate their project and its impact. Finalists also participate in team challenges.
Up to $25,000 scholarships, certificates, and national recognition
