About the competition

The Virtual Supreme Court competition allows high school students to engage in debates on constitutional law by writing appellate briefs and presenting oral arguments through video chats.

Participation Information

Teams of two register through the Institute for Competition Sciences, write appellate briefs, and participate in virtual rounds of debate. The final teams travel to Washington, D.C. to argue before judges.
Based on the quality of legal arguments, precedent analysis, clarity of briefs, and oral presentations.
Certificates, trophies, and recognition for constitutional knowledge and debate skills
